Access partitions inside a LVM volume
kpartx can be found inside of the multipath-tools package -a adds the mappings and -d deletes them

Find usb device in realtime
Using this command you can track a moment when usb device was attached.

Add all files not under subversion control

find an unused unprivileged TCP port
Some commands (such as netcat) have a port option but how can you know which ports are unused?

Change SSH RSA passphrase
Protects your secret identity with a passphrase. OSX 10.6 automatically does key forwarding and can store the passphrase in the keychain. For other OSes, use ssh -A or set ForwardAgent in ssh_config to enable forwarding. Then use ssh-agent/ssh-add.

Force unmount occupied partition
Alternative if "Lazy unmount" (umount -l) doesn't obey. Alternative for NFS: $ umount -f /media/sdb1 Use with caution: forcing to unmount a busy partition can cause data loss!

Find files modified since a specific date
This command uses -newerXY to show you the files that are modified since a specific date. I recommend looking for "-newerXY" on the manpage to get the specifics.

Change the homepage of Firefox
Pros: Works in all Windows computers, most updated and compatible command. Cons: 3 liner Replace fcisolutions.com with your site name.
