clear MyDNS-ng cache
Occasionally, to force zone updating, cache flush is necessary. This command is better than restart the mydns daemon.

Backup a local drive into a file on the remote host via ssh

copy paste multiple binary files
Useful when you have multiple files or binary files that you need to transfer to a different host and scp or the like is unavailable. To unpack on the destination host copy paste output using the opposite order: openssl enc -d -base64 | gunzip | tar -x Terminate openssl input using ^d Note: gzip is outside of tar because using -z in tar produces lots of extra padding.

Recursively unrar into dir containing archive
From the cwd, recursively find all rar files, extracting each rar into the directory where it was found, rather than cwd. A nice time saver if you've used wget or similar to mirror something, where each sub dir contains an rar archive. Its likely this can be tuned to work with multi-part archives where all parts use ambiguous .rar extensions but I didn't test this. Perhaps unrar would handle this gracefully anyway?

Stamp a text line on top of the pdf pages.
To quickly add some remark, comment, stamp text, ... on top of (each of) the pages of the input pdf file.

Get AWS temporary credentials ready to export based on a MFA virtual appliance
You might want to secure your AWS operations requiring to use a MFA token. But then to use API or tools, you need to pass credentials generated with a MFA token. This commands asks you for the MFA code and retrieves these credentials using AWS Cli. To print the exports, you can use: `awk '{ print "export AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=\"" $1 "\"\n" "export AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=\"" $2 "\"\n" "export AWS_SESSION_TOKEN=\"" $3 "\"" }'` You must adapt the command line to include: * $MFA_IDis ARN of the virtual MFA or serial number of the physical one * TTL for the credentials
