Export MySQL query as .csv file
This command converts a MySQL query directly into a .csv (Comma Seperated Value)-file.

This command provides more color variety for the rainbow-like appearance by generating random color codes from 16 to 231 for adb logcat.

Install pip with Proxy
Installs pip packages defining a proxy

pimp text output e.g. "Linux rocks!" to look nice

Show used disk space:

start vim in diff mode
vim will open both files side by side and show colored diffs

More precise BASH debugging

Grep by paragraph instead of by line.
This is a command that I find myself using all the time. It works like regular grep, but returns the paragraph containing the search pattern instead of just the line. It operates on files or standard input. $ grepp or $ | grepp

Commandline document conversion with Libreoffice
In this example, the docx gets converted to Open Document .odt format. For other formats, you'll need to specify the correct filter (Hint: see "Comments" link below for a nice list).

Convert seconds to [DD:][HH:]MM:SS
