scan multiple log subdirectories for the latest log files and tail them

List Threads by Pid along with Thread Start Time
This command will list all threads started by a particular pid along with the start time of each thread. This is very valuable when diagnosing thread leaks.

A fun thing to do with ram is actually open it up and take a peek. This command will show you all the string (plain text) values in ram

Prints a file leaving out all blank lines and comment-only lines
Does not print any line that either: - is empty - contains only spaces or tabs - starts with # - starts with spaces/tabs followed by a #

Convert seconds to [DD:][HH:]MM:SS

i've been writing a bash script where i needed to query the installed version number of the nvidia driver when it's not loaded. Unfortunately i have not found a easy way of doing this. If i'm a stupid person, please enlighten me of a better way ;)
