Pull git submodules in parallel using GNU parallel
Make sure to run this command in your git toplevel directory. Modify `-j4` as you like. You can also run any arbitrary command beside `git pull` in parallel on all of your git submodules.

list block devices
Shows all block devices in a tree with descruptions of what they are.

Prevent overwriting file when using redirection
If you set noclobber to on, bash won't allow redirection to overwrite existing files . $ set -o noclobber command turn the option on (default it s off ) . You can still append information but not overwrite the file .to turn it back off use : $ set +o noclobber . I use it because i overwrite a file by accident , after thought , content of the file was very important , creating a one more file mean nothing for my hard disk (we are not anymore on the 64 k memory time) , but content of file is far much important . What we call exeprience :(

Undo mkdir -p new/directory/path

-map 0.0:0 map the video of video.mp4 to the video of mix.mp4 -map 1.0:1 map the audio of audio.mp3 to the audio of mix.mp4 make sure that video.mp4 and audio.mp3 have the same duration

Bash snippet to force GNU/Linux keyboard settings, layout and configuration. Usefull when some GNU/Linux distributions such as *Ubuntu's store only limited configation options due to demonstration purposes on LiveUSB or Live persistent devices.
