tar and bz2 a set of folders as individual files

find . -maxdepth 1 -type d -name '*screenflow' -exec tar jcvf {}.tar.bz2 {} \;
This version will work if "*screenflow" returns any results with weird characters, and will actually compress the tarballs.

The git ls-files command will do what you need. git ls-files will only print files in the current working directory. If, for instance, you have a git repo for dotfiles ( core. worktree = / ), then you will have files outside the git root and that simple command won't work anymore. www.treeremovalmelbournearborists.com/eastern-suburbs/

In Unix and Unix-like operating systems (such as Linux), you can use the tar command (short for "tape archiving") to combine multiple files into a single archive file for easy storage and/or distribution. Additionally, you can use tar in conjunction with a compression utility, such as gzip or compress, to create a compressed archive file. GATE-I2E-Imperial Institute
