This is a quick way to find what is hogging disk space when you get a full disk alert on your monitoring system. This won't work as is with filesystems that allow embedded spaces in user names or groups (read "Mac OS X attached to a Windows Domain"). Quickly CD Out Of Directories Without 5+ Aliases

I wrote this a long time ago, wondering why this wasn't floating around somewhere out there (at least not where I could find).. this seems much more simple than multiple aliases and can cd out of directories easier.

Jump to a directory, execute a command and jump back to current dir

temporarily override alias of any command

say, someone has aliased ls to 'ls --color=always' and you want to temporarily override the alias (it does not override functions)
