The really awesome bash completion in debian seems to be an extra package now, which has to be installed. After sourcing /etc/bash_completion it completes almost everything (package names in apt... etc) :-) To make this permanent, put something like this in your .bashrc: if [ -f /etc/bash_completion]; then source /etc/bash_completion fi

ping as traceroute
This command uses ping to get the routers' IP addresses to the destination host as traceroute does. If you know what I mean..

tar does not have a -mtime option as find. tar appends all the file to an existing tar file.

any HTTP requests to the machine on the specified port will be redirected to http://www.whatevs.com... quick, dirty, works fine for sites w/
