Quickly graph a list of numbers
Useful when you've produced a large file of numbers, and want to quickly see the distribution. The value of y halfway along the x axis is the median. Simple! Just create the listOfNumbers.txt file with a number on each line to try it out.

ls not pattern
Negative shell globs already come with bash. Make sure to turn on extended pattern matching with 'shopt -e extglob'.

Friday is the 5th day of the week, monday is the 1st. Output may be affected by locale.

List the Sizes of Folders and Directories
I wanted an easy way to list out the sizes of directories and all of the contents of those directories recursively.
