Get AWS temporary credentials ready to export based on a MFA virtual appliance

You might want to secure your AWS operations requiring to use a MFA token. But then to use API or tools, you need to pass credentials generated with a MFA token. This commands asks you for the MFA code and retrieves these credentials using AWS Cli. Copy all shared libraries for a binary to directory

When working with jailed environments you need to copy all the shared libraries to your jail environment. This is done by running ldd on a binary which needs to run inside the jail. This command will use the output from ldd to automatically copy the shared libraries to a folder of your choice.

Shows all block devices in a tree with descruptions of what they are.

Using numsum to sum a column of numbers.

if you, like me, do not have the numsum, this way can do the same.

uniq for unsorted data

[vim] Clear a file in three characters (plus enter)

% selects every line in the file. 'd' deletes what's selected. It's a pretty simple combination.

Convert Shell Text to Upper/Lower Case

remove all spaces from all files in current folder

retrieve the source address used to contact a given host

on multihomed hosts, connected to several networks, could be usefull to know the source address (local ip address) used to reach the target host, this command does not require root priviledges. The command use a TCP socket, if there is any error the command return an empty string, elsewhere return a valid ip address.
