Creating shortened URLs from the command line

type partial command, kill this command, check something you forgot, yank the command, resume typing.

Replace Solaris vmstat numbers with human readable format

Calculate days on which Friday the 13th occurs (inspired from the work of the user justsomeguy)
Friday is the 5th day of the week, monday is the 1st. Output may be affected by locale.

Annotate tail -f with timestamps
Uses the command ts in order to add a timestamp on each line. This command is provided in the moreutils package on Debian, and you may need libtime-duration-perl to be able to format the date.
